The global scenery sees new cities specific to Europe and North America and an update to its overall layout based on recent Open Street Map material.Ĭonsidering all this, XPlane 11 is the most modern flight simulator – still a simulation, but closer to reality than ever before! Numerous new aircraft with 3D cockpits and extensive documentation are available to the virtual pilot add to that more than 8000 3D-modelled airports, static aircraft and dynamic environments. The content of X-Plane 11 is also considerably expanded. ![]() The sound engine is fully usable and extendable by third-party add-ons. This works on a global scale resulting in spatially correct audio placement of any aircraft and any object within the scenery while also taking the current location of the user into account. The simulator can now be controlled much more intuitively thanks to this well-thought-out menu structure.įurthermore, X-Plane 11 features a brand-new sound engine that realizes 3D surround sound with high quality samples. In the completely redesigned user interface, the control setup, aircraft, airports and weather options are now presented with a visual preview which makes editing them a breeze. ![]() It was also developed with very good performance in mind. This technique works dynamically which means that graphical effects no longer have to be pre-rendered. Due to 'Physically Based Rendering', illumination and reflections behave in physically correct ways and change depending on viewing angle and the object’s surface. A new rendering engine makes the whole world appear in a new light – literally. The 11th edition of X-Plane offers a much more realistic and immersive experience. The Aerosoft Airport Pack includes the additional six airports: Lugano, Toulouse, Weeze, Manchester, Maastricht-Aachen and Svolvær. Thanks to its open structure, all users and enthusiasts can change every single part of it and adapt it to their preferences. In this simulator, there is a whole world to discover. THIS PACKAGE MAY NOT BE REDISTRIBUTED ON ANOTHER SITE THAN SIMVIATION.X-Plane 11 is the latest version in the flight simulator series for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. This aircraft is complete and for P3Dv4.5+ only. Up till now I did never receive a response and I surely hope all is well for him. In the last two years I have tried to contact Alejandro Rojas Lucena through mail but Overall it seems a convincing 64-bit rendition of the FSND Boeing 707-420.įor a full conversion list and for a full Credits list see file 707-420_mod.pdf in the 'Docs' folder of the aircraft. Lights configuration also had to be changed as in Prepar3D v4 the NAV lights were not showing up plus the fact the model has flexible wings. For the Fuel Dump gauge I did receive a kind permission by Rob Barendregt to use. I have added some extra gauges to the aircraft like Cockpit sounds, V-Speed calls, other Co-pilot sounds, Fuel Dump, working Fire extinguishers, and some more. I tried to make the gauges look and behave as closest to the original ones. gau gauges so I have replaced them with XML variants. Most of the gauges were originally 32-bits. FDE by Brett Henderson is very slightly changed, most notably speed values and Engine Reverse thrust values. Models by Alejandro Rojas Lucena are untouched. ![]() The Boeing 707-420 by FSND is to my knowledge the only freeware rendition of a native FSX Boeing 707 with a virtual cockpit.
